Job Description:
The ideal applicant will be high energy, preferably a retired Army O4-O6, with knowledge
of CECOM/PMBC/ABCS and current engagement with that customer. Knowledge of JIEDDO is a plus.
Experience with winning business in a small business setting and strong management skills
are required.
Responsibilities include the following:
The Director is responsible for increasing GITI's services and presence within the Army's
CECOM and other organizations, such as JIEDDO. He/she will be engaged in the management of
GITI's C4I staff at multiple locations, and will be the lead for capturing of task orders under
IDIQ vehicles, and for recruiting.
The Director will be engaged in leading the activities of task order proposal teams. He/she
will work through the entire opportunity life cycle, including prospecting for new customers,
identifying opportunities for growth, leading in teaming decisions, and developing key customer
win themes for pre-RFP and post-RFP activities.
The Director will also be responsible for gaining an understanding of the full scope of
solutions and services provided by GITI (including Software Engineering, SOA, Semantic, Cyber,
and R&D services) and representing these services to the customer. He/she will leverage and
coordinate the business development activities of GITI's existing staff.
Following GITI's Account Plan process, the Director will be responsible for managing and monitoring
GITI's relationship with key CECOM constituencies and reporting results. The candidate will
coordinate, support, and manage customer relationships as required.
Required Skills:
- 15+ years of demonstrated experience managing, developing and growing business, with at least 5 years
of experience with the US Army CECOM/PEO C3T/CERDEC;
- Demonstrated understanding of CECOM organizations and upcoming procurements;
- Entrepreneurial spirit, motivation, and commitment;
- Exceptional management skills, ability to lead and inspire technical staff, and the ability to
coordinate and lead brainstorming;
- Demonstrated track record of initiative, creative thinking, and ownership for attaining performance
goals;
- Negotiation skills and the ability to create and deliver convincing presentations;
- Ability to travel as needed. Frequent travel to Aberdeen, MD.
